Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, is currently presiding over a Cabinet session at the Grand Serail, to hear a presentation by the Finance Minister on the Finance Ministry's report on the 2027 draft state budget, and begin discussions on the related draft law.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Cabinet session is attended by a broad array of ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Tarek Mitri, and Finance Minister Yassin Jaber. Other key attendees include National Defense Minister Major General Michel Menassa, Energy and Water Minister Joe Saddi, and Tourism Minister Laura Khazen.
The session also sees participation from Social Affairs Minister Haneen Al-Sayed, Trade and Economy Minister Amer Bsat, and the Minister for the Displaced and Information Technology Affairs Kamal Shehadeh. Interior and Municipalities Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Al-Hajjar, Justice Minister Adel Nassar, and Telecommunications Minister Charles Hajj are also in attendance.
Additionally, the meeting includes Youth and Sports Minister Nora Bayrakdarian, Industry Minister Joe Issa Al-Khoury, and Minister of Administrative Development Affairs Fadi Makki. The Labor Minister Mohammed Haidar, Public Works and Transport Minister Fayez Rasamny, and Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani are present as well.
Information Minister Paul Morcos, Environment Minister Tamara El-Zein, and Public Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nasser Edine are contributing to the discussions. The session is further supplemented by the presence of Director-General of the Presidency Dr. Antoine Choucair and Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makkieh.
