Beirut:Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Hajjar met with Beirut Marathon Association President May El-Khalil, along with Executive Director Samer Makarem and Race Director Orabi Nael, to discuss plans for the upcoming Beirut International Marathon. The marathon is set to take place on Sunday, November 29, under the theme "Beirut in Every Step."

According to National news agency - Lebanon, El-Khalil expressed gratitude to Minister Hajjar for his efforts in maintaining security and stability in Beirut. She emphasized that the marathon serves to promote Lebanon on an international scale and unites tens of thousands of runners from around the country.

Minister Hajjar highlighted the significance of implementing comprehensive safety measures and reiterated the ministry's support for events that enhance Lebanon's positive image.

Race Director Orabi Nael provided an overview of the logistical, technical, health, and environmental preparations for the event. He mentioned that participants from various Arab and foreign nations are expected, with hundreds of field staff coordinating through a special operations room in collaboration with the Internal Security Forces.
