Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday held a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi, wishing him success in his new responsibilities and emphasizing the importance of continuing cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Premier Al-Zaidi thanked President Aoun for his wishes, affirming that 'Iraq always stands by Lebanon and its people, especially during the difficult circumstances it is going through.'
