Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday received at Baabda Palace the head of the Lebanese negotiating delegation to the "Mechanism" committee, former Ambassador Simon Karam, with whom he discussed preparations underway for the committee meeting scheduled to be held on January 7.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting between President Aoun and Ambassador Karam focused on ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place for the upcoming committee meeting. This meeting is considered crucial for addressing key issues and progressing the ongoing negotiations. Ambassador Karam briefed President Aoun on the current status of the preparations and the agenda set for the meeting.

The "Mechanism" committee is tasked with handling negotiations related to significant national matters. The upcoming meeting aims to align the strategies and objectives of the Lebanese delegation.
