Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday received US Congressman Darrell Issa at Baabda Palace. The meeting was attended by US Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa Johnson, and Najad Fares, Vice President of the American Task Force for Lebanon (ATFL).

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions focused on recent developments in Lebanon and the broader region, along with Lebanese-American relations.

Following the meeting, Congressman Issa emphasized ongoing efforts to address the issue of the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon. He noted that the Lebanese government is committed to maintaining stability and expressed support for its initiatives. Congressman Issa also reiterated full backing for the Lebanese army.
