Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, met with the Commander of the U.S. Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, at Baabda Palace. The meeting was attended by U.S. Embassy Charg© d'Affaires in Beirut, Keith Hanigan, and the head of the Mechanism committee, Major General Joseph R. Clearfield.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions centered on the preparations for the implementation of the Framework Agreement. This agreement was established through the Lebanese-US-Israeli negotiations conducted in Washington.

During the meeting, President Aoun expressed gratitude to Admiral Cooper for the interest shown by U.S. President Donald Trump in supporting Lebanon's quest for security and stability. He reiterated the Lebanese state's commitment to extending its authority through its armed forces to the internationally recognized southern border.
