Beirut:Prime Minister Nawaf Salam's Media Office has issued a statement expressing surprise at the confusion regarding his patronage of an academic conference at a prominent university, which focuses on artificial intelligence in higher education.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the statement clarified that the Prime Minister's support was limited to patronage, with no involvement in organizing the conference or selecting its participants.

The Media Office emphasized that the event is worthy of support and recognition, but reiterated that neither the Prime Minister nor the government played any role in its organization.
