Raggi Joins Emergency Arab League Meeting, Ministers Condemn Iran Threats


Beirut: Foreign Minister, Youssef Raggi, on Tuesday took part in an emergency ministerial meeting of the Arab League held via video conference at the invitation of Bahrain, which currently chairs the session. Discussions focused on what ministers described as unlawful Iranian attacks on Arab states and related obligations under international law.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, participants condemned threats to close the Strait of Hormuz and called on Iran to compensate for resulting economic damages. They also rejected Tehran’s continued support for armed groups in the region and urged the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security.
