Security Update: Israeli Shelling, Drone Strikes Target Southern Lebanon Despite Cautious Calm

Beirut: Israeli shelling on Thursday targeted the towns of Baraachit and Kfardounine in Bint Jbeil district earlier today, while Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on Ghandoorieh and Touline.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, an Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle in the town of Froun, reportedly killing its rider. Further drone activity was reported as Israeli drone aircraft struck the road between Toura and Jannata in Tyre district. Another drone dropped sound bombs near farmers in Hanniyeh, south of Tyre, without causing injuries.

The artillery shelling also extended to the town of Qabrikha in Marjayoun district. Despite these attacks, southern Lebanon, particularly the western and central sectors, witnessed cautious calm since dawn amid the absence of Israeli warplanes and drones from the skies.
