Hazmieh: Deputy head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Ali al-Khatib on Thursday discussed regional developments with Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Alaa Moussa.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Moussa described the current phase as difficult and stressed that diplomacy remains the best path toward solutions. He expressed hope for renewed negotiations and emphasized the importance of Lebanese unity. Al-Khatib noted that Lebanon relies on Egypt's experience and regional role, reaffirming support for internal unity amid ongoing Israeli attacks.
The Egyptian ambassador also highlighted efforts by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan to bridge differences between the United States and Iran, in hopes of easing regional tensions.
