Beirut: The Turkish government emphasized that a defense agreement signed with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan does not conflict with Ankara's commitments to NATO. The agreement, signed on Friday, is designed to enhance regional security through collaborative efforts with the two nations.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Turkey's government-run Center for Combating Disinformation took to X to clarify that the agreement does not contradict Turkey's existing obligations to international alliances, including NATO. The center described the pact as a complementary cooperation mechanism, reinforcing Turkey's role in supporting regional security without undermining its commitments to NATO.
