Berri Condemns Israeli Aggression as War Crime Against Lebanese Civilians


Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri condemned the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon, describing it as a war crime with deliberate intent. He stated that the attacks targeted paramedics, journalists, and Lebanese army soldiers, constituting a violation of humanitarian laws and norms.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Berri highlighted the sacrifice of individuals from the Civil Defense volunteers in the Islamic Al-Rissala Scouts Association, the Islamic Health Authority, the Red Cross, as well as Lebanese army soldiers and journalists from Al-Manar and Al-Mayadeen, including correspondents Ali Shuaib, Fatima Ftouni, and her brother Mohammad. He emphasized that these individuals were carrying out their humanitarian missions and defending Lebanon.



Berri asserted that the actions by Israel represent a premeditated war crime, urging the international community to respond swiftly. He called upon human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene and halt the destructive war against Lebanon. Berri also called for unity among the Lebanese people in the face of these challenges.



In his concluding remarks, Berri expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the protection of Lebanon.
