Cassation Public Prosecutor Sworn In by President Aoun at Baabda Palace

Baabda: Lebanon's Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, Judge Ahmad Rami el-Hajj, on Thursday took the oath of office before President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, in the presence of Justice Minister Adel Nassar and President of the Higher Judicial Council, Judge Suhail Abboud.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized the importance of the judiciary as a cornerstone in the process of state-building. He remarked, "The judiciary is the fundamental pillar in building the state and preserving its authority, and it is the citizen's ultimate refuge in the pursuit of justice. I stand by the judiciary in everything that serves to protect justice, because there can be no state without a fair judiciary, and no stability without equity."

President Aoun's comments underline his commitment to upholding the independence and integrity of the judicial system. The ceremony at Baabda Palace marked a significant step in reinforcing the role of the judiciary in Lebanon's governance and stability.
