Beirut: The Media and Public Relations Department of the Council of the South issued a statement addressing recent allegations. The statement was in response to claims published by Nidaa al-Watan on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, which the Council described as entirely unfounded.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Council of the South emphasized its adherence to the Public Procurement Law. The Council declared that it fully applies all provisions of the law and performs its duties in strict accordance. The statement concluded by noting that this clarification was deemed necessary to address the claims.
