Hezbollah Escalates Tensions by Firing Missile at Israeli Warplane Over Beirut


Beirut: Hezbollah has reportedly fired a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli warplane flying low over Beirut, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two entities. This development highlights Hezbollah’s decision to utilize its military capabilities within Lebanon’s capital.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Hezbollah has been actively engaging Israeli troops over the past 24 hours, carrying out 82 operations both inside Lebanon and across the border. The operations are reportedly concentrated in areas where Israeli forces are advancing, particularly in the town of Khiam, which Israeli troops have entered in an attempt to seize control.

Additionally, Hezbollah claims to have targeted two Israeli tanks near the town of Tyre, an area that has witnessed intense fighting over the past week. The group’s operations seem to extend further into Lebanon, with reports of targeting Israeli troops in the town of Qantara, located about 5 kilometers (3 miles) inside the country. T
