Morcos Announces Army-Led Mechanism to Coordinate Journalists’ Access to Strike Areas

Beirut: Information Minister, Paul Morcos, on Friday announced measures to facilitate the work and ensure the safety of journalists covering the war, following discussions at a cabinet session on coordinating access to areas targeted by Israeli strikes.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, after consultations with Defense Minister, Michel Menassa, and the Lebanese Army command, a dedicated email address “[email protected]” will be used by reporters seeking access to those areas, with a liaison officer appointed for coordination. Morcos praised the army’s role and Menassa’s swift response.

The ministry will also continue receiving requests from foreign correspondents, including on weekends and holidays, at “[email protected]” to facilitate their missions.
