Protest Held in Beirut to Condemn Targeting of Journalists


Beirut: A protest is currently taking place at Martyrs’ Square in central Beirut, organized by the Union of Journalists in Lebanon, to condemn the targeting of correspondents Ali Shuaib and Fatima Ftouni, and cameraman Ahmad Ftouni, in an Israeli airstrike on Jezzine road while performing their professional duties.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, an atmosphere of grief and anger prevails, as participants express their deep sorrow for the loss of their colleagues, emphasizing that “the press cannot be silenced.”



Protesters also called for solidarity across the entire press community in the face of these repeated attacks.
