Baabda: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Thursday welcomed Interior Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Hajjar at Baabda Palace.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Minister Hajjar briefed the President on recent anti-smuggling operations. He emphasized the collaborative efforts of the Judicial Police and the Anti-Narcotics Bureau, who have successfully seized large quantities of drugs and contraband.
Minister Hajjar highlighted that President Aoun commended the significant achievements made by these agencies. The President acknowledged their dedication and effectiveness in tackling smuggling operations that have posed challenges to the region.
Additionally, Minister Hajjar noted that cooperation remains robust with Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as with other friendly nations. This international collaboration is deemed essential in the ongoing fight against narcotics and illicit substances.
