Yarzeh: Lebanese Army Commander, General Rudolf Haykal, on Tuesday met with Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Chen Chuandong, at his office in Yarzeh, accompanied by Defense Attach© Sr. Col. Liu Chao. Discussions focused on the general situation in Lebanon and developments in the wider region.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Lebanon and China. The talks emphasized the importance of cooperation in various sectors, including defense and economic development. Both parties expressed mutual interest in enhancing collaboration to address regional challenges and support Lebanon’s stability.

The meeting also highlighted China’s continued support for the Lebanese armed forces. The Chinese ambassador reiterated his country’s commitment to assisting Lebanon in maintaining security and stability, acknowledging the strategic importance of Lebanon in the region. General Haykal expressed gratitude for China’s support and underscored the significance of international partnerships in bolstering national defense capabilities.
