Ouyoun el-samak: A large fire broke out this morning in the forests of the Ouyoun el-Samak region in Donnieh, destroying large areas of woodland. Despite ongoing efforts, the flames remain out of control.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, citizens and rescue teams have called on the army leadership to intervene and send helicopters to extinguish the fire. The difficulty of accessing the affected areas due to the rugged terrain has hampered firefighting efforts. There are also fears that the fire could spread and approach agricultural lands and residential areas, prompting the urgent request for military assistance.
