Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, on Tuesday received at his ministry office the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office, Paolo Fontani, accompanied by Media and Communication Officer, George Awad. The meeting centered on strategies to enhance the Fact-Check unit at the National News Agency, which was established in collaboration with UNESCO.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Morcos emphasized the critical role of verifying news accuracy before dissemination. He underscored the necessity of adopting this practice widely. The discussions also covered methods to emphasize the government's initiatives to assist displaced persons and the importance of highlighting these efforts in media coverage.
