Beirut: The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the Israeli enemy’s shelling of UNIFIL positions in Lebanon. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement, “The UAE strongly condemns the attack on the international forces,” stressing that “targeting the peacekeeping forces constitutes a violation of the principles of international law and the provisions of Security Council Resolution 1701.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, it expressed “the UAE’s unwavering support for Lebanon, its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and for the “important role played by the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon.”
