Foreign Ministry Condemns Israeli Attacks on Lebanon and Urges International Action

Beirut: In an issued statement this afternoon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants denounced “the repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which targeted a number of southern cities and towns yesterday, resulting in several martyrs and wounded, including children.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the ministry highlighted that these attacks once again targeted international peacekeeping forces operating in Lebanon. This action was described as a clear and direct violation of international law, Security Council Resolution 1701, and the November cessation of hostilities declaration, showing open defiance of international will.

The Foreign Ministry urged the international community to pressure Israel to halt its ongoing attacks and to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people. Furthermore, the ministry affirmed its concern for the safety of the UNIFIL peacekeeping forces and their crucial role in maintaining stability in southern Lebanon.
