Information Ministry and UNESCO Collaborate on National Campaign Against Hate Speech

Beirut: Information Minister Paul Morcos and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have extended an invitation to media representatives for a press conference to kick off the National Campaign Against Hate Speech. This initiative comes on the heels of a previous national effort to tackle disinformation with the slogan "Be Part of the Truth. Not the Disinformation."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the campaign seeks to enhance media awareness and promote responsible communication by emphasizing respect and diversity. The primary objectives are to combat hatred and incitement while fostering a culture of respect and appreciation for diversity among the public.

The press conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, at 2:00 p.m. and will take place on the sixth floor of the Ministry of Information.
